Guidelines for Text String Matching

Match Text String to Search & Retrieve Database Records

This is an optional field that you can use to refine FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) or Question & Answer database searches. Leave this field blank if you are searching only by Category or don't care what text actually exists in the database records.

Enter only a single string of text (without quotes). The Web server will attempt to search all of the data contained in the Answer fields of the Q & A database records (optionally limited by Category) to see if it can find an exact match can be found.

For example ... if you entered "wire" (but don't use quotes), you would match records that included terms like "wireless" and "wired connection", but not "wiring".

Do not enter text that is broken with a space or punctuation, unless you want to literally match such a sequence of characters.

Remember that your text queries will only extend to those Categories you select, so if you want your search to cover the greatest range of possibilities, you would choose "All Categories".
